We have organized talks with experts on various topics that can be attended both in person at the Aula Magna of the UJI and virtually through a Google Meet link.

Expert: Anna Morales (University of Basel — Switzerland).

About the speaker: Nanotechnologist and researcher at the University of Basel (Switzerland). Additionally, she is a science communicator through her YouTube channel, SizeMatters. Anna is a master’s student in Materials Science and Engineering at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with a strong interest in materials science research, especially in electron microscopy.

Expert: Brais Moure (Programmer and science communicator)

About the speaker: Programmer and science communicator, he has participated in TarugoConf22, PlatziConf and other renowned conferences, as well as in a video of the WWDC of Apple. Under his responsibility are several apps and platforms that we use every day and his personal projects have more than 2 million downloads.

Expert: Pau Garcia-Milà

About the speaker: Entrepreneur in the technology field, winner of a Princess of Asturias Foundation award, a University of Cambridge award, other MIT awards… among others. His fame began when he sold his start-up to Telefónica at the age of 17. His Tik Tok account “Te lo cuento en un minuto” has over one million followers.

About the speaker: Ex-student of the UJI and entrepreneur. Interested in the rural world and technology, he co-founded Voluta.coop, a company that brings modern and technological solutions to the rural world. Winner of the entrepreneurship award by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, he currently dedicates himself to organizing hackathons and raising awareness among the new generations of the importance of the rural world.

Expert: José Sanchís

About the speaker: Co-founder of an IT services company, he is currently managing the publication of a rigorous and technical (yet entertaining) book about Bitcoin, as he considers that the existing material is lacking in rigor, especially in regards to Bitcoin. He has studied an open course from MIT on engineering and design of cryptocurrencies (with fundamental knowledge of Bitcoin).
