From October 23 to 27, 2023, we will be at the UJI Welcome Week, celebrating the start of the new academic year and meeting the new students.

From October 6 to 8, 2023, we will travel to A Coruña to participate in the OSHWDem 2023 Competitions, we will participate in the speed robot and hebocon modalities.

On the evening of Friday, September 29, 2023, at the Ágora of the UJI, the European Researchers’ Night will be held, where you can participate in the multiple activities aimed at people of all ages.

On Thursday, September 28, 2023, the 6th edition of the Design, Creativity and Technology Day will be held in the lobby of the ESTCE at the UJI, where you can participate in the various activities offered by the UJI associations and enter a raffle.

These are the terms and conditions for a promotion or giveaway. The promotion is open to all individuals who meet the criteria specified in the Special Terms and Conditions, except for those who are excluded as defined in the Special Terms and Conditions. Participants must provide truthful and accurate information and may only participate once. The promotion is free and no purchase or payment is necessary.

The Responsible Party reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose conduct violates the spirit or intention of the promotion or these terms and conditions. Participants must be individuals and residents of certain areas are excluded from participating. Participations must be submitted through the official designated method for registration in the promotion. The Responsible Party will not accept participations that are generated automatically by computer or any other system, completed by third parties or in bulk, or are illegible, incomplete, fraudulent, altered, reconstructed, falsified, or manipulated.

The Responsible Party is not responsible for lost, misplaced, damaged, deleted, incomplete, illegible, or otherwise impossible to read or delayed participations, regardless of the cause. Participants agree that, in the event of a technical problem in the Responsible Party’s system, participations may not be temporarily available and Participants may have to re-enter their information for their participation to be valid.

The proof of publication or transmission does not constitute proof of participation or receipt by the Responsible Party of any participation request. A winner, or several winners, will be selected by the selection method and according to the applicable selection criteria and on the date indicated in the Special Terms and Conditions. The winner(s) will receive the prize(s) indicated in the respective sweepstakes announcements. The winner(s) will be notified through the method and on the date indicated in the Special Terms and Conditions. The Responsible Party may request more information from the winner to confirm that they are a Person Inclòs and organize the delivery of the prize. In case a winner does not respond within the time frame indicated in the Special Terms and Conditions, the Responsible Party reserves the right to select another winner and award them the prize(s) or leave the prize(s) unclaimed.

The Responsible Party reserves the right to select alternative prizes of equivalent or similar value, without prior notice if the prize is not available for any reason. The winner is responsible for providing complete and accurate contact information to the Responsible Party, and the Responsible Party will be exempt from liability when the winner has not received the prize(s) due to providing incorrect or incomplete contact information. The prize is not exchangeable, not transferable, and no cash alternative is offered.

The Responsible Party’s decision with respect to any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and will not be subject to discussion or negotiation. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions of the promotion at the time of registration. The Responsible Party reserves the right to deny participation or the awarding of the prize to any person who violates the terms and conditions of the promotion. The prize does not include travel insurance, the cost of travel to and from the event location, meals and drinks, expenses, taxes, or personal expenses, unless expressly stated otherwise in the Special Terms and Conditions.

The winner is responsible for any obligation to declare the prize to the relevant tax authorities and for remitting, accepting, or paying any tax, fee, withholding, and/or expense of any kind that may be applicable under tax legislation, with the Responsible Party being exempt from liability in this regard and having no obligation to provide tax advice. Any other cost incurred, in addition to those mentioned above and that are incidental to the fulfillment of the prize, is the responsibility of the winner(s).

The Responsible Party reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion when necessary at its sole discretion. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Responsible Party, its agents, or distributors will have no obligation to compensate the winner(s) under any circumstances or accept any liability for any loss or damage that occurs as a result of accepting or using the prize. Nothing in the terms and conditions of the promotion excludes or limits the Responsible Party’s liability for personal injuries or death caused by the Responsible Party’s, its agents’, or distributors’ negligence or that of their employees. Participants’ imperative rights are not affected by this provision.

By entering the promotion, Participants confirm that they are eligible for it and that they are also eligible to receive the prize. The Responsible Party may require Participants to provide proof that they have the status of Persones Inclòs to participate in the promotion. If it is determined that the winner is not eligible, the Responsible Party reserves the right to award the prize to another Participant and request the return of any prize already awarded. The Responsible Party will not accept any responsibility for any claim or damage caused directly or indirectly by the fact that a Participant has not verified their eligibility or the capacity to receive or enjoy the prize before formalizing their participation in the promotion.

By participating in the promotion, Participants agree that the prize is awarded “as is,” and that neither the Responsible Party nor any of its subsidiary companies or companies belonging to its group of companies makes any representation or warranty of any kind with respect to the prize.

In promotions that require Participants to submit images, videos, or other media, Participants confirm that:

* The images and other presentations are original works, are not defamatory or libelous, and do not infringe the rights of third parties.
* There are no agreements that collide and that may restrict the use of these images or other presentations.
* They have consent to use any third-party image in the submission and have waived rights to this effect for this use. If the image of a third party is of a person under 18 years of age, the consent of the parents or guardians must be provided.
* The Participant will provide evidence of any required consent or authorization upon request by the Responsible Party, or risk being disqualified from entering the promotion.

The Responsible Party does not claim any ownership or title rights over the Participant’s submission. Participants agree that the Responsible Party may, but is not obligated to, make the submission available on its websites and in any other media, whether known or invented in the future, and in connection with any type of advertising for the promotion. Participants agree to grant the Responsible Party an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the submission to the promotion and any accompanying material, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, modify, and sub-license the submission to the promotion and any accompanying material (including images) for these purposes.

Winners agree that the Responsible Party may use their name, image, and city or country of residence to announce the winner of this promotion and for any other reasonable promotional purpose without compensation or payment of any kind. In this sense, Participants agree to fully cooperate with the Responsible Party in the development of these promotional activities.

The Responsible Party will collect and process Participants’ personal information and may share it with its agents and group companies (including those located outside the European Economic Area) to the extent necessary to develop the promotion, including, if applicable, the delivery of the prize to the winner. If Participants do not provide the mandatory information requested when entering and participating in the promotion, they will not be able to participate in it. The Responsible Party will collect and process Participants’ names and other personal data derived from their participation in the promotion, which will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy in force at all times, as indicated in the Special Terms and Conditions.

Personal data provided during the course of this promotion may be transmitted to third-party providers only to the extent required for the fulfillment, delivery, or management of the prizes. The promotion will be governed by the law of the jurisdiction mentioned in the Special Terms and Conditions, and Participants in the promotion will submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the jurisdiction mentioned in the Special Terms and Conditions. We will be at the 9th Friki Pride Convention in Vila-Real on June 17 and 18, 2023.

We will celebrate Arduino Day by offering a free beginner’s course on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

In this course, you will learn the basic structure of Arduino, the use of its GPIO pins and analog pins. Additionally, practical projects will be carried out to experiment with how the Arduino works.

There will be two groups: one in the morning from 10am-2pm and another from 3pm-7pm. Each group will have approximately 10 people, taking into account the order of registration.

IMPORTANT: It is necessary to bring a laptop with the Arduino IDE installed.

About the speaker: Nanotechnologist and researcher at the University of Basel (Switzerland). Additionally, she is a science communicator through her YouTube channel, SizeMatters. Anna is a master’s student in Materials Science and Engineering at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), with a strong interest in materials science research, especially in electron microscopy.

Winner of the entrepreneurship award by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, he currently dedicates himself to organizing hackathons and raising awareness among the new generations of the importance of the rural world.

About the speaker: Co-founder of an IT services company, he is currently managing the publication of a rigorous and technical (yet entertaining) book about Bitcoin, as he considers that the existing material is lacking in rigor, especially in regards to Bitcoin. He has studied an open course from MIT on engineering and design of cryptocurrencies (with fundamental knowledge of Bitcoin).
